Every day at TXTRound we try to do something that makes your life in school easier 

It might be something tiny, it might be something big, but every day we do something. So far, we’ve done a lot for the “school to parent communications” thing, and a lot less for the “making every child behave perfectly and achieve their targets” thing, but I guess that’s just not our skill.

It occurred to us though over a Starbucks in the summer that we’d missed something. 

We do “school to parent”, but what about “parent to school”? 

A glaring oversight we feel. We’re here with all these clever people doing clever geeky stuff and we’ve missed an opportunity to help you. How dumb do we feel!

There you are in school dealing with incoherent, undecipherable voicemails, disruptive phone calls and those parents who just won’t get in touch. And there are parents out there who are uncomfortable phoning school, or can’t afford the call and so instead don’t call you. Opportunities are being wasted to build relationships and resolve unauthorised absences.

So, we’ve had one of our housetrained geeks turn his attention to the “parent to school” thing and come up with something that we know is going to be useful to you – TXTIn.

Let parents text YOU :-)

The idea is really simple. A parent sends a text message to your school reception number. We automatically intercept it, work out who sent it, the child’s name and class groups and then email you with all the details. You can then simply deal with the email whenever it is convenient. No replaying of messages trying to work out which “John” is poorly.
